MEPCO is the largest electricity distribution company in Pakistan by area, supplying power to 13 districts of South Punjab, from Sahiwal and Multan down to Rahim Yar Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan.
How to check your MEPCO bill online
- Open the official MEPCO bill page: bill.pitc.com.pk/mepcobill.
- Keep "Reference No" selected and type the 14-digit reference number from an old bill, without spaces.
- Tap Search. The bill for the latest month opens; use Print or your phone's share/print option to save it as a PDF.
The bill is free to view, and you do not need an account. If it does not open, check the number again: one wrong digit shows "invalid" or someone else's bill.
Where to find the reference number
The reference number is printed near the top of every MEPCO bill. It has 14 digits. Write it in your phone once, because you need it to see the bill online, to pay it in an app and to register a complaint.
How to pay the MEPCO bill
- Your bank's mobile app or internet banking (look for "Bill Payment" › "Electricity" or "Gas")
- JazzCash or Easypaisa app, or any JazzCash / Easypaisa shop
- Any bank branch or ATM that accepts utility bills
- Post office counters
Pay before the due date printed on the bill. After the due date a late payment surcharge is added, and the next bill shows it as arrears.
Complaints and helpline
For a electricity fault, wrong bill or meter problem, call 118 from any phone and keep your reference number ready. You can also complain on the MEPCO website. Complaints about any distribution company that are not solved can be taken up on the Pakistan Citizen Portal app.
