Zakat Calculator Pakistan
Work out the Zakat due on your cash, gold, silver and business assets, with the nisab threshold.
How Zakat is calculated
Add up your zakatable assets – cash, bank savings, gold, silver, business stock, money you will get back and investments – then subtract debts that are due now. If what is left is at or above the nisab, and you have held it for a full lunar year, Zakat is 2.5% of it.
This calculator gives an estimate. For your own situation, such as business assets or jewellery worn every day, please ask a scholar you trust.
Frequently asked questions
How much Zakat do I have to pay? +
Zakat is 2.5% (one fortieth) of your zakatable wealth, once your net wealth is at or above the nisab and a lunar year has passed on it.
What is the nisab for Zakat? +
The nisab is the value of 52.5 tola (612.36 g) of silver or 7.5 tola (87.48 g) of gold. Many scholars in Pakistan advise using the silver nisab because it is lower, so more people pay Zakat.

Cash at home and in bank accounts, gold and silver, money others owe you that you expect to get back, shares and business stock. Your home, car and household items for personal use are not included.

Debts and bills that are due now can be subtracted from your zakatable wealth before working out the 2.5%.
