Surah Al-Fatiha ("The Opening") is the first surah of the Quran and has 7 verses. Every Muslim recites it in each rakah of every prayer. The Prophet ﷺ called it Umm al-Kitab, the Mother of the Book (Sahih al-Bukhari 4704), and said that there is no prayer for the one who does not recite it (Sahih al-Bukhari 756).
It begins with praise of Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, and ends with the dua that runs through the whole Quran: guide us to the straight path.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ﴿1﴾
شروع الله کا نام لے کر جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿2﴾
سب طرح کی تعریف خدا ہی کو (سزاوار) ہے جو تمام مخلوقات کا پروردگار ہے
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ﴿3﴾
بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا
مَٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿4﴾
انصاف کے دن کا حاکم
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ﴿5﴾
(اے پروردگار) ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور تجھ ہی سے مدد مانگتے ہیں
ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴿6﴾
ہم کو سیدھے رستے چلا
صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ﴿7﴾
ان لوگوں کے رستے جن پر تو اپنا فضل وکرم کرتا رہا نہ ان کے جن پر غصے ہوتا رہا اور نہ گمراہوں کے
